美国财政部长贝森特周三再次驳斥了一些报道对国家经济委员会主任凯文·哈塞特作为美联储主席候选人资格的担忧。

　　贝森特在一个活动上说：“任何对哈塞特主任的担忧都是荒谬的。”

　　“他是一位资历深厚的博士经济学家，有自己的观点，” 贝森特说，“他和其他人一样可以当个很好的美联储主席。”

　　知情人士称，一些意见受美国总统特朗普重视的高层人士反对国家经济委员会主任凯文·哈塞特担任美联储主席。

　　针对记者提出的关于特朗普在11月下旬表示已知道选择何人、但现在仍在进行面试的问题，贝森特回应说：“也许他指的是——也许我就是他选的人，但我没法分身”。
