智通财经APP获悉，丰田汽车(TM.US)周五表示，计划从明年开始在日本销售其美国制造的凯美瑞轿车、汉兰达SUV和坦途皮卡，希望此举有助于改善日美贸易关系。
作为日本最大的汽车制造商，丰田正试图说服特朗普降低对日本汽车及相关零部件输美关税。去年11月，丰田董事长丰田章男在日本主持一场纳斯卡赛车推广活动时，头戴一顶红色“MAGA”帽子，身穿印有特朗普和副总统万斯头像的T恤。
丰田章男早在5月份就向时任首相石破茂提议，美国汽车制造商可以利用丰田在日本的销售网络在日本销售汽车。最终，美日贸易协议中包含了一项条款，要求日本“开放市场”，允许从美国进口汽车。
