Gold Miners' Shares Rise as Weaker US Jobs Data Fuels Rate Cut Expectations

Shares of Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST), Catalyst Metals (ASX:CYL), and Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) rose around 4%, 8% and 5%, respectively, in Wednesday trading, as gold prices climbed on weaker-than-expected US jobs data and expectations of further Federal Reserve rate cuts.
Spot gold prices rose 0.2% to $4,310.21 per ounce.
