消息面上，近日，2026年全国能源工作会议在北京召开。会议强调，2026年能源工作要推动实现更高水平能源安全保障。扎实推进能源绿色低碳转型。持续提高新能源供给比重，全年新增风电、太阳能发电装机2亿千瓦以上，有序推进重大水电项目，积极安全有序发展核电，加强化石能源清洁高效利用。
花旗发布研报称，12月17日多只内地公用股的股价下跌，相信是由于国家能源局对明年提出保守指引，包括审慎制定风电与太阳能新增装机产量目标，及其对水电与核电发展持谨慎态度。该行表示，根据过往经验，认为明年“风能和太阳能装机产量超过200GW”的预测可能过低，并预计十五五规划期间的水电与核电项目资本开支将会增加，以达成减排目标。此外，该行预计全球储能系统(ESS)的需求将加快扩张。
