Boeing Gets $931M U.S. Navy Contract to Extend Service Life of F/A-18 E/F Super Hornets

Boeing received a $930.8 million contract from the Navy.

The purpose of the contract is to provide for service-life modifications for up to 60 F/A-18 E/F Super Hornets.

The contract is part of an effort to increase the Super Hornet service life to 10,000 flight hours from 6,000 flight hours.

Boeing will also provide integration of Block III avionics capabilities for the Navy.

Work will be performed in San Antonio, San Diego and St. Louis, and is expected to be completed in November 2028.

Funds will be obligated on individual orders as they are issued.
