在预测市场 Polymarket 上，沃什被特朗普提名美联储主席的概率降至 30%，而美国国家经济委员会主任哈塞特被提名概率升至 52%。预测市场 Kalshi 上，沃什被提名概率降至 31%，哈塞特被提名概率升至 50%。
此前报道，美国财长贝森特表示，本周可能还有一到两次美联储主席人选的面试。特朗普在面试中对政策相关问题一直非常直率。沃什和哈塞特都“非常非常有资格”。贝森特还驳斥了哈塞特无法在美联储任职的观点，同时驳斥了新任主席将导致美联储不再独立的观点。
