Jardine Cycle & Carriage Subsidiary to Cut Stake in Vietnam's Vinamilk

Jardine Cycle & Carriage's (SGX:C07) subsidiary, Platinum Victory, agreed to sell a 4.60% stake in Vietnam-listed Vinamilk (HOSE:VNM) to F&N Dairy Investments for around 6.01 billion Vietnamese dongs, according to a Tuesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Shares of the company were up nearly 1% in Wednesday trading.

F&N Dairy, alongside its subsidiary, F&NBev Manufacturing, currently has a 20.39% stake in Vinamilk. Both companies are subsidiaries of Fraser and Neave (SGX:F99).

Proceeds raised from the sale will be used for the company's internal funding needs.

Following the completion of the acquisition, the Platinum's stake in Vinamilk will decrease to 6.02% from 10.62%, the filing said.
