Apple Updates iOS in Japan to Comply With Mobile Software Competition Act

Apple (AAPL) said Thursday that it implemented changes to its iOS in Japan to comply with the country's Mobile Software Competition Act.

The changes include alternative application marketplaces that developers can use to distribute their apps and the option to process app payments outside of Apple's in-app purchase, among others, the company said.

Apple said it is also updated its business terms for iOS applications in Japan in line with the changes.
