PC Jeweller Signs MoU for Franchise Expansion in Uttar Pradesh

PC Jeweller (NSE:PCJEWELLER, BOM:534809) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM YUVA) Mission under the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Export Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh, India, according to an Indian bourse filing on Tuesday.

The agreement is aimed at supporting entrepreneurship development and employment generation in Uttar Pradesh, the filing said.

The memorandum of understanding follows the company's earlier approval to onboard as a franchise brand on the CM YUVA Portal and relates to the proposed rollout of up to 1,000 jewelry retail franchise units in the state, it added.

PC Jeweller's shares rose around 1% in Wednesday's early trade.
