美联储理事斯蒂芬·米兰表示，如果美国央行明年不继续降息，可能面临引发经济衰退的风险。

　　“如果我们不下调政策利率，我认为确实面临风险，”米兰周一接受采访时表示。他还表示，预计短期内不会出现经济下行，但失业率上升应促使美联储官员继续降息。

　　他说：“失业率可能已经超过了人们的预期。因此，我们掌握的数据应该会促使人们向鸽派方向转变。”

　　美联储理事任期将于明年1月结束的米兰自9月加入以来一直主张更大幅度的降息。

　　在美联储9月以来三次降息将利率总计下调75个基点之后，米兰表示，1月末的下一次议息会议降息50个基点的必要性降低，但他尚未决定。

　　“你差不多进入可以开始精细调节而不是大幅降息的阶段，”米兰说。“我不确定我们是否已经到了这个阶段，或者是否还需要再降息几次才能达到。”
