ECONOMY
Italy's government faces a vote of confidence in the upper house Senate on Tuesday over its 2026 budget. The government called the vote to speed up the budget's approval and ensure the package becomes law by the end of this year. The budget has drawn criticism from market investors for tax hikes affecting banks, insurers and financial market transactions.
ISTAT releases November non-EU foreign trade data (0900 GMT).
DEBT
Treasury announces sale of BTP and CCTeu bonds, with relative amounts to be auctioned on Dec. 30.

(*) The automaker's sales in the European Union, Britain and the European Free Trade Association fell in November 2.7% year-on-year, while the overall market rose for 2.4%, data from the European auto lobby ACEA showed on Tuesday.
Italy's cabinet on Monday authorised a state-backed company to buy from Stellantis a site that includes facilities for the temporary storage of used nuclear fuel, a statement said.

Majority shareholder Credit Agricole CAGR.PA, which owns around 20% of the capital and is awaiting European Central Bank clearance to exceed this threshold, could present its own minority list at the next renewal of Banco's board, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Shares in the Italian biotech company rose around 5% on Monday after its board proposed a share buyback of up to 250 million euros ($294.03 million).
