智通财经APP获悉，随着客户对期权清算业务的需求日益增长，富国银行(WFC.US)全球市场部正积极着手布局这一领域。富国银行将效仿美国银行(BAC.US)、高盛(GS.US)等业内同行，利用自有资金为客户期权交易提供清算担保服务，在客户与清算所之间扮演风险承接的关键角色;不过，其最终能占据的市场份额究竟有多少，仍有待进一步观察。
据了解，目前这一计划尚处于初步推进的早期阶段;值得一提的是，早在今年6月，富国银行便已卸下了此前限制其资产规模突破1.95万亿美元的监管重担。
该行全球市场部股票业务联席主管DJ Langis在接受采访时表示，早在2025年资产上限解除前的较早阶段，该银行就已开始研究期权清算。他补充称，富国银行正重塑其证券销售与交易业务，以更好地服务做市商，这一努力已推动其团队扩充人手。
Citadel Securities、Jane Street等大型做市商依赖清算经纪商处理交易结算环节。有报道称，这些做市商定于2026年下半年开始在富国银行进行清算。
