高盛集团计划未来十年内在日本蓬勃发展的企业并购市场中，新增约8，000亿日元（51亿美元）的收购和投资，重点关注中型企业。
这家华尔街投资银行正寻求拓展企业客户，业务领域包括管理层收购、子公司出售和企业传承规划。高盛旗下日本公司的成长型股权和私募股权团队董事总经理Yu Itoki认为，全球机构投资者对日本投资项目的配置需求强劲，同时企业愈发热衷于推进管理层收购及非核心资产出售等项目。
Itoki在接受采访时表示：“我们现在所处的环境允许我们以两到三倍于以往的速度进行投资。”他还说，瞄准日本市场的投资者与寻求融资的公司之间趋于供需平衡。
他表示，该银行的目标客户是估值在300亿日元至3000亿日元之间的中型企业，这些企业往往缺乏拓展海外市场或进行并购所需的资金和人才资源。
