快科技12月26日消息，近日，以更新神速著称的Arch Linux宣布，将正式把NVIDIA默认驱动版本切换至590系列。
由于该版本驱动已彻底移除了对Pascal架构的支持，这意味着一代神卡GTX 10系列（如GTX 1080/1060等）将不再受官方默认驱动包的支持。
早在今年7月，NVIDIA就已宣布停止对Maxwell（900系列）和Pascal（10系列）架构显卡的Game Ready驱动支持，仅提供季度性的安全更新直至2028年。
由于Arch Linux采用滚动更新模式，始终追随最新的软件版本，因此它成为了首个官宣放弃Pascal默认支持的主流发行版。
随着驱动版本的更迭，这一趋势预计将很快扩散至其他Linux发行版。
虽然默认支持已断，但GTX 10系列用户并非无路可走，用户可以通过卸载官方NVIDIA驱动程序包，并安装较旧的“Nvidia-580xx-dkms”包来继续使用这些显卡。
与AMD显卡在Linux上的开源支持不同，由于NVIDIA严格的限制，开源驱动Nouveau难以发挥Pascal显卡的正常频率，性能受限严重。
