1131 ET - ServiceNow is acquiring one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity assets and a strong team with its $7.75 billion purchase of Armis, according to Mizuho in a note. The purchase is on the heels of ServiceNow's acquisition of Veza, and it's reasonable for investors to be concerned that the M&A push betrays a slowdown in the company's core business, the analysts say. But workflow automation cross-selling activity among ServiceNow partners and Armis's strong performance suggest a high-growth opportunity. "We believe NOW is acquiring particularly strong technology and talent," they write. "And under NOW's ownership, while Armis's long-term growth is less clear, we would expect continued robust growth, aided by cross-sell into NOW's formidable enterprise installed base."
