Disney Agrees to Pay $10 Million for Alleged Violations of Children's Privacy Laws, DOJ Says

Walt Disney's (DIS) Disney Worldwide Services and Disney Entertainment Operations agreed to pay a $10 million civil penalty for alleged violations of children's privacy laws, the US Department of Justice said Tuesday.
The payment will be part of a settlement to resolve allegations that Disney violated the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and its implementing regulations in connection with Disney's popular YouTube video content, the department said.
Walt Disney didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
