Quanta Computer (TPE:2382) unit QMN will acquire three fuel-cell microgrid systems in California from Bloom Energy for about $502.2 million, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Shares gained about 3% in Wednesday's late morning trade.
The deal covers systems for Plants B18, B16 and B19, including installation and technical support.
The acquisition is for operational needs.
