BUZZ-From crypto to compute: data center boom lifts AI infrastructure stocks

** Applied Digital APLD.O shares surge ~215% in 2025 as growing contracts with AI developers underscore demand for its data centers

** Hut 8 HUT.O shares rally ~126% this year, driven by AI infrastructure partnerships and expansion announcements that have helped reposition the co as a data center and high-performance computing provider

** Shares of Coreweave CRWV.O jump about ~85% this year, fueled by major contracts with customers such as Meta META.O and OpenAI for cloud computing

** In the past few years, CRWV, HUT and APLD have pivoted from bitcoin mining toward AI-focused data center operations, repurposing energy-intensive infrastructure

** Oracle ORCL.N shares up ~18% in 2025, largely driven by its partnership with OpenAI for the Stargate project. But concerns around bond issuances to fund future capital expenses remain

** Shares of Equinix EQIX.O fell ~18% this year, pulled down by delays in closing big revenue-boosting deals and a lowered annual revenue forecast
