Sandfire Resources' (ASX:SFR) shares climbed 1% in early trading on Wednesday, while those of Capstone Copper (ASX:CSC) rose 0.4% after copper London Metal Exchange futures rose to a new record, just under $13,000 per tonne.
Copper is headed for its best performance since 2009.
