ChainCatcher 消息，获足球明星贝克汉姆支持的营养补充品公司 Prenetics Global 宣布，已取消其比特币（BTC）储备与增持计划。该决定距公司完成一轮 4,800 万美元融资、并明确提出打造加密资产金库战略还不到三个月。
Prenetics 表示，公司将战略重心重新聚焦于核心消费健康业务 IM8，并称其为“行业历史上增长最快的营养补充品品牌”。公司在周二发布的声明中称，将不再进行未来的比特币收购。今年 10 月，这家纳斯达克上市公司完成了一轮超额认购的股权融资，资金原计划同时用于加速比特币金库建设及拓展 IM8 品牌。当时比特币价格约为 11.4 万美元，而截至本周二下午，比特币价格已回落至约 8.8 万美元。
该轮融资的投资方除贝克汉姆外，还包括 Kraken、Exodus、吴忌寒旗下 GPTX、DL Holdings 以及 American Ventures 等机构。公司披露，目前账面仍持有超过 7,000 万美元的现金及现金等价物，并持有 510 枚比特币。
