近日，在访谈中，被问及为什么自己的产品都是M开头时，Manus联合创始人兼首席科学家季逸超表示，完全就是一个巧合，“可能M开头的产品运气都不会太差”。

　　他提到，第一款产品是猛犸浏览器（Mammoth），M开头，第二款产品叫Magi，M开头，第三款产品Monica，M开头，Manus也是M开头。

　　他特别指出，Manus可能有一点私心，因为名字是他起的。他解释到，当时纠结过很多名字，但是后来是真正想通的一个点是“我们想明白了自己该做什么”。

　　“当时，做浏览器的时候我们已经依稀有一个感觉，就是模型在解决的是智力。但是再强的智能你也不能把环境给内化掉，所以一定是需要一个手来去触及到现实世界中，否则再强的思维，也只是一个理论物理学家，或者说甚至你可以说是一个缸中之脑。这让我想到了MIT的校训‘Mens Et Menus’，是拉丁语，翻译成中文是心与手或者心手合一。”

　　季逸超谈到，别人都已经在心智上做了很远的探索，所有基座模型公司使命如此，而我们要做的其实是那个手，Manus就是拉丁语的手的意思。
