这部动画续作是Disney Animation Studios第五部全球票房突破10亿美元大关的影片。自感恩节周末首映以来，其全球累计票房已高达14.6亿美元。
影片的火爆离不开中国市场的强劲助推——该片在中国内地的票房已超5.6亿美元。上映首周末，《疯狂动物城2》便横扫中国票房市场，揽下约95%的票房份额，创下绝对优势。
作为好莱坞传统假日档期的开幕之作，《疯狂动物城2》首映周末即斩获约5.56亿美元的全球票房。影片延续经典IP，让兔子警官朱迪与狐狸搭档尼克再度携手，在这座熙攘繁华的动物都市开启全新冒险篇章。
