1035 GMT - Shares in U.K. housebuilders fall as fresh data shows growth in the country's house prices slowing. Annual price growth slowed to 0.6% in December, down from 1.8% in November, according to Nationwide's monthly U.K. house price index. The December rate is down sharply on the 4.7% price growth recorded for December 2024. Crest Nicholson falls 1%, while Bellway and Taylor Wimpey fall 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively. The U.K. housing market was resilient throughout 2025, Nationwide's Robert Gardner says, with mortgage approvals holding steady even as tax changes caused volatility, and mortgage rates sat around three times their post pandemic lows.
