BlockBeats 消息，1 月 8 日，韩国允许银行发行以韩元稳定币的计划遭到立法者的反对，凸显了执政的共同民主党、金融监管机构和中央银行之间的分歧。目前韩国金融服务委员会（FSC）已改变立场，转为支持韩国银行（BOK）的提议，即限制稳定币的发行，只允许由拥有多数控制权的银行牵头的财团发行。根据拟议修订法案，稳定币可以由银行持有多数股权的财团发行，但需要银行保持总体多数控制权（50% 股权以上），科技公司虽可成为单一最大股东，但持股比例仍需低于银行总体持股。
该提案将对加密货币交易平台提出更严格的要求，例如更高的 IT 稳定性标准、强制赔偿黑客攻击造成的损失，以及最高可达年收入 10% 的罚款。稳定币发行者至少需要 50 亿韩元（370 万美元）的实缴资本，监管机构可能会随着市场的发展提高这一门槛。
