West African Resources (ASX:WAF) said Morgan Stanley and its units became a substantial holder in the company on Jan. 2 with a 6.6% stake, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The group now owns about 75.4 million ordinary shares of the company.
West African Resources' shares jumped over 4% in recent trading on Wednesday and earlier reached an all-time peak.
