0854 GMT - Demand for AI infrastructure should continue to outpace supply in 2026, Macquarie analysts say in a research note. "We are still in the early-mid stages of an abnormally long semiconductor upcycle" driven by AI spending, the analysts say, adding that this upcycle could continue at least through 2027. The entire semiconductor supply chain should benefit from the long cycle, however, memory, due to severe supply shortage and more extreme price movements, should benefit the most in 2026, they note. Macquarie's top pick in Taiwan include TSMC, MediaTek and eMemory. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
