Troops Inc. shares were 11% higher, at $4.19, after the company announced a "significant" strategic development through its investment in HK Golden.

The stock hit its 52-week high of $4.32 earlier in the session, and is up 135% in the past 12 months.

The company said that following the appointment of CFN Lawyers LLC as U.S. securities counsel, HK Golden, an online forum operator and a strategic partner of Troops, has formally begun the process of launching an initial public offering on The Nasdaq Stock Market.

The IPO has a target timeline set for 2026.

Troops said the IPO of HK Golden will bring added value to the Troops group and its shareholders.
