Datavault AI (DVLT) said Thursday it is expanding its collaboration with IBM (IBM) to launch an enterprise-grade edge artificial intelligence platform in New York and Philadelphia.

The project will use Available Infrastructure's SanQtum AI platform, a fleet of synchronized micro edge data centers running IBM's watsonx portfolio of AI products, to provide real-time data scoring and tokenization across a secure local network, Datavault said.

The system allows clients to process and authenticate data as tradable digital property without relying on public cloud infrastructure, the company said.

The technology aims to eliminate delays between data creation and monetization while maintaining high levels of cybersecurity, Datavault said.

The company also said it expects to deploy the architecture at scale during Q1 before expanding to other metropolitan areas.

Shares of the company were up 1.3% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
