Constellation Energy Wins NRC Approval for $167 Million Upgrade at Pennsylvania Plant

Constellation Energy (CEG) said the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved a license amendment request for its $167 million digital modernization project at the Limerick nuclear plant in Pennsylvania.

The project will replace select analog instrumentation and control equipment with digital platforms, Constellation said Tuesday in a statement.

The project will be in phases with physical installation of the digital control rooms planned during refueling outages, the company said.
