Lefroy Exploration Confirms High-Grade Core of Western Australia Deposit; Shares Down 4%

Lefroy Exploration (ASX:LEX) confirmed the high-grade core of the Burns deposit, located within its Lefroy project in Western Australia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Diamond drilling results include 21 meters at 2.69 grams per tonne grade of gold from 131 meters and 6.4 meters at 2.59 g/t grade of gold from 191 meters, the filing said.

Meanwhile, an additional reverse circulation drill hole aimed at the high-grade oxide gold zone returned 30 meters at 5.76 g/t grade of gold from 24 meters and seven meters at 1.15 g/t grade of gold from 71 meters.

Samples were submitted for metallurgical test work, with results expected by the end of the month, per the filing.

Shares fell nearly 4% in morning trade on Thursday.
