Qualcomm (QCOM) said Monday it launched the high-performance Snapdragon X2 Plus platform equipped with built-in artificial intelligence features for professionals and creators.
The Snapdragon X2 Plus in Microsoft's (MSFT) Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs is expected to enable users multitask between data-intensive analysis and creative design, the company said.
The new platform leverages the 3rd Gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU, offering up to 35% faster single-core performance compared with the earlier generation while consuming 43% less power. Meanwhile, the integrated Hexagon neural processing unit delivers 80 trillion operations per second of AI performance, the company added.
Select devices from original equipment manufacturers will be available for purchase starting H1, according to the company.
