BlackBerry's (BB) QNX division and Vector said Tuesday they have launched a new vehicle software platform.
The Alloy Kore platform will allow automakers to come up with new solutions for automobile software architectures. Mercedes-Benz is among the companies already testing ways to incorporate the platform into their architectures, QNX and Vector said.
Separately, QNX said its technology will be integrated into BMW's "Neue Klasse" vehicle platform in support of safety systems.
The integration follows a 2021 multi-year agreement between QNX and BMW to develop driver assistance systems, the company said.
