The shares of Newmont (ASX:NEM) soared over 5% in recent trading on the Australian bourse on Monday, reaching an all-time peak, after gold hit a new record.
Gold prices rose 1.3% to $4,469.49 per ounce on Monday after reaching a record high $4,600 per ounce earlier in the day.
The shares of Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) also climbed over 3%, while those of Regis Resources (ASX:RRL) rose 3%.
