智通财经APP获悉，达美乐披萨(DPZ.US)周一宣布任命快餐业资深人士Merrill Pereyra为澳新地区新任首席执行官，消息公布后公司股价应声大涨。

达美乐在一份声明中表示，Pereyra此前任职于Yum! Brands Inc.(YUM.US)，自2019年起担任必胜客印度董事总经理。他拥有超过30年的快餐行业从业经验，曾供职于麦当劳(MCD.US)，还曾出任达美乐印尼首席执行官。

公司执行董事长Jack Cowin在声明中表示：“我们非常高兴能邀请到Pereyra这样资深的行业高管，执掌公司核心的澳新市场业务。Pereyra在维护特许经营合作关系、推动同店销售额增长、优化单店盈利模式以实现网络扩张方面，有着亮眼的过往业绩。董事会坚信，他将与特许经营合作伙伴紧密协作，推动公司业绩向好。”

公告发布后，达美乐在悉尼证券交易所的股价一度上涨6.8%。

在本周一之前，该公司股价在过去12个月内累计下跌22%。在此期间，这家披萨连锁品牌不仅面临销售额增速放缓、管理层人事动荡的困境，还需应对新晋竞争对手的冲击——例如在悉尼上市的墨西哥卷饼连锁品牌Guzman y Gomez Ltd。

达美乐方面同时透露，集团首席执行官一职的遴选工作正在有序推进。该职位原由Mark van Dyck担任，他于今年7月辞职，任职时长不足一年。
