软银（SoftBank）旗下公司SB Energy正与OpenAI合作，帮助OpenAI开发其人工智能基础设施平台星际之门（Stargate）。作为该合作关系的一部分，OpenAI和软银将各自向SB Energy投资5亿美元。ChatGPT所有者OpenAI还选择由SB Energy负责在得克萨斯州米拉姆县建设并运营其此前宣布的1.2吉瓦数据中心。OpenAI表示，该项目预计将创造数千个建筑业就业机会。作为该协议的一部分，OpenAI、软银和SB Energy已建立一个优先合作伙伴关系，以开发一种新的数据中心建设模型。SB Energy还从Ares获得了8亿美元的可赎回优先股权，以支持其增长。SB Energy目前正在开发几个数吉瓦级的数据中心园区，预计将从今年开始投入使用。
