European Lithium (ASX:EUR) said its majority-owned, US-listed Critical Metals has ordered a fully turnkey integrated $1 million mobile geochemical analysis center from Bromet to support the Tanbreez rare earths project, including pilot
plant activities and ongoing project development, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The assay laboratory is expected to be acquired by European Lithium and operated exclusively for Critical Metals by trained Greenlandic personnel, with analytical results subject to oversight and validation by an independent, appropriately accredited third party, the filing added.
The facility can reduce assay turnaround times compared to traditional off-site laboratory processing, the company said.
The company said that the modular, mobile laboratory technology is expected to enhance exploration efficiency, grade control, and operational decision-making, while reducing reliance on off-site laboratories, sample transport requirements, and associated time delays, in line with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations.
The company added that commissioning and operation of the facility in Greenland will be subject to applicable government and regulatory approvals.
The company's shares fell 6% in recent Tuesday trade.
