Wildcat Resources (ASX:WC8) said results from a drilling program conducted last year at the Bolt Cutter lithium project in Western Australia increased the size of the mineralized pegmatite system, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Drilling yielded 20 meters at a grade of 1.7% lithium oxide from 43 meters and 12.8 meters at a grade of 2% lithium oxide from 45.3 meters, the filing said.
The discovery has now grown to over 2 kilometers in a northwesterly orientation and about 800 meters in a northeasterly orientation, the filing added.
It shows potential for a large mineralized system that remains open in most directions, the company said.
Wildcat Resources plans to start diamond drilling at the discovery within the month and reverse circulation drilling in the first quarter, the company added.
