智通财经APP讯，吉星新能源(03395)发布公告，董事会于2026年1月12日(卡加利时间)召开会议，董事会更新了9.6兆瓦电力项目的进展，并讨论了由公司管理团队提出的新液化天然气项目的可行性。公司欣然宣布，于2026年1月6日就天然气发电项目获阿尔伯塔省环境及保护区局(EPEA)核发主要监管批准，惟EPEA将公司申请的9.6兆瓦发电量调整为9.5兆瓦。
董事会进一步批准开发一个年产量75千吨(千吨╱年)的液化天然气项目。该项目竣工后，公司将能利用自有天然气产量及现有管道集输系统生产液化天然气，用于替代本地市场的柴油燃料，包括钻井与完井作业、卡车车队及柴油发电等领域。此举预期将提升公司天然气产能的价值，并进一步多元化业务组合。公司指出，在可靠且具成本效益的替代燃料需求持续增长的支撑下，当地液化天然气市场潜力可望稳健发展。
液化天然气项目的监管申请程序已启动，项目预算与里程碑时程将于准备就绪时公布。倘公司未能取得相关政府机构所有必要批准，则9.5兆瓦天然气发电项目及液化天然气项目将不予推进。股东及潜在投资者于买卖公司证券时务请审慎行事。
