Societe Generale is replacing its self-developed artificial intelligence tool with Microsoft's (MSFT) Copilot, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The French bank rolled out an internal tool, SoGPT, for its employees over a year ago and has been decommissioning it since the end of 2025, according to the report.
SocGen scrapped the internal tool after employees complained that it was not up to date, the people told the media outlet. Microsoft's Copilot solution will be available to most of SocGen's employees over the next few weeks, the report said.
Both SocGen and Microsoft declined to comment.
