Lai Sun Garment, Lai Sun Development to Sell Interest in New Vision Fund

Fortune Scope, a subsidiary of Lai Sun Garment (International) (HKG:0191) and Lai Sun Development (HKG:0488), agreed to sell its interest in New Vision Fund for HK$114 million, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Monday.

Lai Sun Development shares were down nearly 2% in morning trade Tuesday.

Fortune Scope is selling the interest to three closed-ended private investment funds identified as Crown Global Secondaries VI Master SCSp, Crown Asia-Pacific Private Equity V Master SCSp, and Neckar SEC SCS.

The sale of the interest is being undertaken after a strategic review of their assets. They expect to record a loss of HK$100 million on the disposal.

Lai Sun Garment (International) and Lai Sun Development will cease to hold any interest in New Vision Fund after the sale.
