J.B. Hunt 4Q Revenue Falls on Lower Intermodal, Truckload Sales

J.B. Hunt Transport Services recorded lower revenue in its fourth quarter, as its intermodal and truckload businesses had sales declines.

The Lowell, Ark., logistics company on Thursday posted a profit of $181.1 million, or $1.90 a share, in the quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with $155.5 million, or $1.53 a share, a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.81 a share.

Revenue fell 2% to $3.10 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet forecast revenue of $3.12 billion.

Revenue per load fell 2% in J.B.'s intermodal business and 4% in its truckload segment. Integrated capacity solutions revenue fell 7%

One bright spot was a 15% increase in volume in the truckload division.
