Wawasan Dengkil Holdings (KLSE:DENGKIL) unit Wawasan Dengkil signed a memorandum of understanding with Kester to explore strategic collaboration in renewable energy and green technology projects in Kedah, Malaysia, according to a Thursday Malaysian bourse filing.
Shares gained about 3% in Friday's midday trade.
The one-year MOU covers cooperation on solar, hybrid, biomass and other renewable energy projects.
Under the deal, Kester will act as the state's one-stop centre for strategic renewable investments, while Wawasan Dengkil will serve as the project delivery partner for implementing such initiatives.
The MOU is not expected to have a material effect on net assets, earnings, or gearing for the financial year ending June 30.
