智通财经APP获悉，美国能源部长Chris Wright周四表示，自委内瑞拉前总统马杜罗被捕后，美国开始出售该南美国家的石油，目前美国从委内瑞拉获得的原油实际售价比几周前委内瑞拉出售同类原油的价格高出约30%。
Wright在美国能源协会的一次活动上说：“我们现在出售的同等桶石油的实际价格比三周前高出约30%。”Wright没有详细说明马杜罗被捕前后石油销售的价格。
美国总统特朗普上周表示，委内瑞拉将向美国转移3000万至5000万桶石油，以市场价格出售。一位美国官员周三告诉媒体，美国已经完成了委内瑞拉石油的首批销售，这是本月加拉加斯和华盛顿达成的价值20亿美元的协议的一部分。首批销售价值5亿美元。
此前，由于美国的制裁以及来自俄罗斯和伊朗的大量受制裁石油涌入，委内瑞拉国家石油公司(PDVSA)被迫以大幅折扣(比12月份布伦特原油期货价格低约14美元/桶)出售其Merey重质原油，以寻找买家，这些买家主要来自亚洲。目前由美国主导的销售已更有效地融入市场，这可能利用了美国墨西哥湾沿岸炼油厂的特殊需求，这些炼油厂专门用于加工此类重质原油，从而获得了更高的市场价格。
