BlockBeats 消息，1 月 17 日，链上侦探 ZachXBT 在社交媒体上发文表示，世界标准时间 2026 年 1 月 10 日晚 11 时许，某巨鲸受害者因硬件钱包遭到社交工程诈骗损失价值超 2.82 亿美元的莱特币（LTC）与比特币（BTC）。
攻击者此后通过多家即时兑换平台将盗取的 LTC 与 BTC 转换为门罗币（XMR），导致门罗币价格急剧上涨。部分 BTC 亦通过 Thorchain 跨链桥接至以太坊、Ripple 及莱特币网络。
