European Luxury Stocks Fall on U.S Tariff Threat -- Market Talk

0844 GMT - European luxury stocks slide in opening trade after President Trump threatened to impose 10% tariffs on imports from eight European countries. Investors will be watching the response from the countries and the European Union. The threat causes shares in industry bellwether LVMH to tumble nearly 3.5%. Richemont slides 3.6% and Kering drops 2.6%. In Italy, Brunello Cucinelli falls 1.8% while in London, Burberry is down 1%. Swatch Group slides 2%, while Watches of Switzerland loses 1.7%.
