Boss Energy (ASX:BOE) said that Non-Executive Chair Wyatt Buck has notified the board of his intention to step down, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company has begun recruiting a new chair and expects to complete the appointment in the first half of the year, the filing said.
Buck will remain on the board as a non-executive director upon the appointment of a new chair, ensuring a smooth and orderly transition, the filing added.
The company's shares rose around 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
