Auto components manufacturer Uno Minda (NSE:UNOMINDA, BOM:532539) and its subsidiary, Uno Minda Kyoraku, has agreed to acquire up to 30% in a special purpose vehicle, Hexa Sunshine, for up to 65 million Indian rupees.
As part of the agreement, 52.5 million rupees will be invested by the company, while 12.5 million rupees will be invested by Uno Minda Kyoraku, in one or more tranches, according to a Monday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The acquisition will help the company and its subsidiary to source power through wind and solar energy for their units situated in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The transaction is expected to be completed by the fiscal third quarter of 2026-27.
The company's shares were down nearly 2% in recent trade.
