“股神”巴菲特(Warren Buffett)正式退休，卸任伯克希尔行政总裁一职。巴菲特在CNBC一个访谈节目中表示，虽然现金像“氧气”一样“总是需要有”，但现金不是一种好资产，他更喜欢拥有自己的企业。不过，巴菲特是在去年5月接受CNBC采访时发表上述言论，但该访问直至上周才播出。 巴菲特直言，找不到任何估值吸引人、且规模足够大的股票或企业，能够对市值高达1万亿美元的伯克希尔产生重大影响。他表示，“伯克希尔只买了一、两件东西，但根本是九牛一毛”，强调只要条件合适，“我今天下午就愿意花1000亿美元”，并称宁愿以合理价格将1000亿美元投入一家商业模式的优秀企业，也不愿意持有1000亿美元现金。 他指出，持有一定数量的现金是必要的，因为无法预测未来会发生什么。他不知道股市未来会如何发展，但始终认为投资是一场“有趣的游戏”，只要遵循规则，就几乎不会亏损。被问到如何寻找优秀企业时，巴菲特表示，“评估企业价值毋须天才，更毋须什么希腊符号或复杂模型”。
