据媒体援引高级政府官员报道，以色列计划出售其部分最大武器制造商的股份，以筹集资金来弥补过去两年冲突导致的国防开支激增。财政部会计长Yali Rothenberg表示，以色列航空航天工业公司（IAI）的私有化工作已经开始。同时也在探讨拉斐尔先进防御系统公司私有化的可能性。Rothenberg表示，政府的“初步设想”是出售IAI的25%股份，最高可达49%，具体比例取决于政府的决定现在判断IAI的估值还为时尚早，但其近300亿美元的军火销售订单可以作为其规模的一个指标。
