0856 GMT - India is a structural growth market for Carlsberg and will provide some of the heavy lifting on growth, Carlsberg CEO Jacob Aarup-Andersen tells CNBC at the World Economic Forum in Davos. "India as a market is incredibly exciting, and the young consumers that are coming through are much more into beer versus hard liquor and spirits." All of Asia continues to be "super exciting" for the company, while the soft-drinks sector in Western Europe is a new growth opportunity, he adds. Carlsberg recently acquired U.K. soft-drinks maker Britvic. Aarup-Andersen says beer is here to stay, but with certain sections of the market shifting towards low- or no-alcohol beverages, the company will continue to innovate around alcohol-free and lower-alcohol products.
